End of Life Pet Photographer
Gillian contacted me because her beloved dog, Poppins, was sick. She was looking for an end-of-life pet photographer to help capture their final moments together.
End-of-life photography is always my priority, and I adjust my schedule to accommodate these sessions at the last minute whenever possible.
Pet Family Portrait in Oakville
Gillian chose one of my favourite parks in Oakville for her pet family portrait. She grew up in Oakville, and Poppins has always loved flowers.
This beautiful park has a charming bridge, seasonal flowers, a stunning water backdrop, and even a space for action shots. It was the perfect setting for their dog family pictures.
Dog Photographer Outfit Tips
Before the session, Gillian asked me an important question:
"My dog is black. What should I wear?"
As a dog photographer, I always recommend two things:
- Wear something that makes you feel comfortable.
- Avoid wearing black to create contrast if you have a black dog. Gillian chose a long, flowing white dress and later changed into a bold red sweater with jeans. Both outfits looked stunning in the pet portrait session.
Family and Pet Photography Moments
Gillian’s mom joined us for the session, making it a genuine family and pet photography experience. We concluded the session with a special moment—Poppins playing with bubbles, which is her favourite activity and Gillian wanted to preserve that joyful memory forever.
