Winter Photoshoot Session
There is something about fresh snow that changes the whole mood of a dog photoshoot.
Everything feels quiet and at the same time fun. The light is soft. And if your dog enjoys the snow, that is a bonus.
This pet and family photoshoot session took place at Lowville Park in Burlington, Ontario, which turns into a winter wonderland once the snow falls. Chatz's mom, grandparents, and auntie joined the session, and we made space for a mix of dog portraits, action dog images, and the connection between Chatz and her family.

Why Michelle Booked This Winter Photoshoot Session
Chatz is a snow dog through and through. The second her paws hit the snow, her whole personality turns up. That was one reason Michelle chose winter for a dog-and-family photoshoot.
The other reason was even more important. Chatz is in her prime, and Michelle wanted images that showed her playful side, from zoomies to posed pet portraits.
A Cozy Memories session offers a short, guided experience that captures the relationship between you and your pet, and gives you images you will want to keep and turn into artwork.

Why Lowville Park Works
Lowville Park is one of my favourite spots for a winter photoshoot with a dog. The trees and open space give you that true winter backdrop, without the location stealing the spotlight from your family.
What To Bring To A Winter Session
A winter session goes smoother when you bring a few simple things.
- Your dog's favourite toy
- Treats
- A warm blanket
- Water and tea
These help with breaks, comfort, and keeping things fun for your dog.
What We Photographed During This Winter Pet And Family Photoshoot
This session went beyond portraits.
We made space for the play, the zoomies, and the way Chatz is with her family.
Winter Dog Portraits
We photographed Chatz alone in the snow, her gaze toward the camera, the winter scenery behind her.
These pet portraits feel timeless, showing her expression in a way that holds up year after year, especially when printed as wall art.
Chatz With Michelle
We also photographed Chatz with Michelle, because these images tell a different story, one of closeness, trust, and how naturally they are together.
Looking back at these images later, you feel that connection.
Zoomies And Play In The Snow
We made room for Chatz to have fun in the snow. Snow is where she shines, and her zoomies became part of the dog photoshoot session.
Those frames add energy to the gallery and show her playful personality.

Pet Family Portrait
We saved space in the session for the photos that feel like a tribute: Chatz with her mom, her grandparents, and her auntie.
Snow all around, Chatz getting attention from every direction, and the kind of smiles that come with it.

The Folio Box Artwork
After seeing her gallery, Michelle purchased the folio box with 10 matted prints. Here is what makes it worth having:
- You customize it yourself, choosing the fabric, the colour, the texture, and the cover of the box
- You can rotate the images inside whenever you want something new on your wall art display
- The matted prints are secured in a way that protects the photo from moisture
- The box itself is a piece of artwork on its own and looks stunning wherever it is displayed in a home

What's Included With Your Cozy Memory Session
A Cozy Memories session is designed to be simple and meaningful.
- 30-minute session
- 8 digital images included, with more available to purchase
- $250 artwork credit toward an artwork of your choice
Booking Your Winter Family and Pet Session
If winter is your dog's season, this is one of the best times to plan photos. Snow, fresh air, and a dog fully in her element can turn into the kind of gallery you will be glad you have.
What Clients Are Saying...

"Sharon was such a delight to work with, so friendly and easy going! My dog takes forever to warm up to people, but she went up and kissed her 5 minutes in. She creates such a relaxing environment for the photoshoot which takes any stress away. The photos she took of my dog and family were amazing!! If you are thinking of getting photos of your furry loved one, I highly recommend working with Canovas Photography! Thanks so much for these special keepsakes!!"
