Double the Fun: A Tail-Wagging Australian Shepherd Family Photoshoot

At a craft show earlier this year, "Pawsitivilely" in Brantford, I had the pleasure of meeting quite a few dog lovers and Rob, being one of them.  He stopped by my booth to inquire about my pet photography business. We chatted for a bit, I answered all his questions and an hour later, he returned, eager to purchase a session to surprise his wife for her upcoming birthday.

Our Consultation

In our consultation, I inquired about Rob's dogs. It's important for me to understand if they have any fears or food allergies or if they are on a special diet.

I also took the time to learn what kinda of backdrop Rob had in mind. He expressed how he wanted water for some of the photos and I just had the perfect location for that in Mississauga to fulfill that vision.

Our Photoshoot

We met at a beautiful park in Mississauga, one I knew had plenty of greenery and water, just as Rob had asked for.

Rob had mentioned to me that Ivy could be easily distracted, but I came prepared with squeaky toys, treats, and various noises to grab Ivy's attention and get her to look at the camera.

Both of their dogs were absolute rockstars during the photoshoot! I kept their leashes on throughout the photoshoot for safety, but I edited them out in photoshop. Safety always comes first!

Safety is always first!

I took some pictures of Ivy and Hazel together, along with individual shots of each of them, and, of course, a family portrait with all four. They truly make a beautiful family!

Rob, Latasha, and their two Australian Shepherd were so much fun to photograph.

The Order

They ended up getting a storyboard for themselves, and four matted prints to gift their families.
